I'm not sure a site of this ilk needs a Privacy Statement, but nevertheless...
You may have noticed the little Webcounter icon at the bottom of the index page. It represents a little script from a free hit counter service, which records the number of visitors to this site. It also tells me what browser type and version each visitor uses, and the screen resolution and colour depth selected.
I use this information to gauge how I should design the site. For example, over 65% of my visitors thus far, have had screen resolutions of 1024x768. I have therefore designed the layout for optimal display at that resolution. Should this figure change significantly, I would consider redesigning the site to meet the majority demands.
Your browser type does not reveal anything else about you personally, and I use the information I gather exclusively for the aforementioned site design purposes. Neither the webcounter script nor I collect any personally identifiable information about site visitors, such as your name, address, &c. I do not need, nor want to know such information. If you choose to send me an e-mail, I will respond in kind and keep your e-mail address only and exclusively for the purpose of communicating with you with regards to this site. I will not sell, rent or otherwise distribute or reveal your e-mail address to anyone. I don't like getting spam (spam, spam, spam, spam, bacon and spam...I don't like spam!!!), so I will not inflict it on others by revealing their address.
My site in itself does not necessitate cookies, and I have not scripted any into the code. However, this is a sub-domain, and 50megs.com may deposit a harmless cookie on your system when you visit this site. You may choose to delete it immediately, block cookies from this site, or block cookies alltogether. Please consult your browser's Help index if you're unsure how to do this.
Summa summarum: your visit here tells me nothing other than the fact that you were here, what browser you used to get here, and how large your desktop is. I have employed no scripts, sniffers or other devices to gain access to any other information, nor will I do so.
